Hello! I'm Maggie. I am a mental health therapist who specializes in treating adults and adolescents with symptoms of depression and/or anxiety. I work psychoanalytically, which means that I work with clients to build insight about how they came to be suffering.
I work slowly and patiently so that I may deeply understand my clients and so that they may understand themselves. The relationship between therapist and client has been shown to be the most important determinant of long-term success of mental health therapy. Listening to and empathizing with my clients, while it sounds simple, is the most important thing I do.
I received my Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022. Since 2023, I have been in post-graduate training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas.
